Goddess of the Night (Daughters of the Moon 1)

Goddess of the Night (Daughters of the Moon 1) - Lynne Ewing This is the second time I've read this book. I originally read it when I was either in middle school or high school. I came across it the other day and it brought me back to those days. I felt I had to reread it. I also hadn't finished the series when I was younger, and I saw online that the last book had come out awhile back. Well, I had the finish it, but I also had the remember what exactly was going on.

Anyways, this book is definitely targeted for a teenage crowd. I still enjoyed it however. That may be because I love mysterious powers and Greek Mythology. This book had much of both. In that, I really liked it.

What I didn't like was the constant overly detailed descriptions of what the characters were wearing. I understand that a little description is necessary, but I thought they were a little excessive. Maybe I'm just not into that as much as the teen girl is.

The little romance between Vanessa and Michael was nothing short of adorable. Some interactions were a little off to me but overall I thought it was sweet.

Probably will never read this book again as I will only grow to old for it (if I haven't already). However, I have recommended the series too my young sister in law, and she loved it. I will probably continue to recommend it to young adult readers.
